Mr. Ou Haiming, founder of Cambodia GYW Real Estate

    Ou Haiming, Cambodia GYW Real Estate founder, he has experienced highs and lows of running various of businesses, after years of relentless efforts, he is finally carving out a niche in Cambodia real estate industry. He once recalled his last 20 years of business life in Guangzhou, China, he had worked in various of industries such as restaurants, finance, and online advertising, etc, kept exploring his favorite and ideal business, and finally rooted in Cambodia and run a real estate company called Cambodia GYW Real Estate. Due to his well-experienced in investing and finance industries, which are the basic knowledges in real estate, therefore, he is making great success in this industry. Below are the conversation between Compass and Mr. Ou Haiming, he is sharing his experiences and value lessons about real estate.

Q: Why choose real estate as career and join in Cambodia real estate industry?
A: As you know that, I am a person who loves challenging, eventhough i did not have related experiences in real estate career, but I have already involved a lot by selling my house and also know some of procedures. Moreover, the threshold of Cambodia real estate industry is not so high, it doesn't need much deposit in running a real estate agency company here, and I also believe that Cambodia real estate market in very promising, that's why I established GYW Real Estate. And currently, GYW Real Estate is offering a lot of services such as rent, buy, development condos, lease and also land.

Q: How do you see about this disappointing real estate market during Covid-19 pandemic?
A: I'm so quite optimistic with this current disappointing market, I think it will impact only for short-term, and it won't be a problem for the long-term market. New Cambodian youth is moving into city, there are a lot of migrants into Phnom Penh, at the same time, there will be more real estate demands here, the urban land of Phnom Penh will radiate to the outside city. In addition, Cambodia will also take on greater economic benefits since we are engaging with China "One Belt One Road" economic, the future of real estate development is still relatively optimistic, and the real estate industry after the epidemic will definitely develop rapidly.

Q: As the market changes, do you have new market strategies for the customer acquisitions?
A: Marketing strategy is an important key link in the operation and management of real estate development enterprises, getting customers are considered as a difficult work for us. And due to the impact of the epidemic, the numbers of walk-in and offline customers are decreasing, it is even more difficult to rely on offline promotion, and the cost of acquiring customers has increased. Therefore, we are now cooperating with Compass, a professional real estate information website, to advise and promote our products online, it is more efficient than personal resources to find customers.

Q: What about customer service, could you share with us how to improve customer satisfaction?
A: I think we must first serve customers well, service first, think what customers think, rush for customers needs, and solve customer problems with from heart. I remember once a customer who forgot the key at home at 12 o'clock in the evening, the customer called me. I immediately contacted the house owner and the unlocking company when I received the call. Then the landlord gave me the spare key, and I personally gave it to the customer. After that time, the client trusted me very much and recommend me more businesses. Therefore, I insist on perfecting small details and providing good service. It is the best product of a company, such as increasing service cleaning, changing lights, and water heaters. As long as these services are done well, not only can we gain customer affirmation and referrals, but also the overall company Image can also be beneficial.

Q: I found that your office environment atmosphere is so nice, how do you manage the company's employees?
A: To be honest, in GYW family, I treat each employees as a friend. I never regard myself as a leader. I communicate with them with an equal attitude, maintain mutual respect, and grow with employees, the company will have vitality, cohesion and combat effectiveness, and has inexhaustible development momentum, and can withstand the test of the complex market situation and remain invincible.
