Cambodia Compass report, 18th May - Today, Cambodia declared 345 new Covid-19 positive cases and 1337 recoveries, the highest number of recoveries ever reported in a single day.
This takes the total number of cases in the nation to 22,889, with 8,383 cases currently involved.
There have been two new deaths reported. As a result, the total number of deaths caused by COVID in Cambodia now stands at 156.
The Ministry did not release a case and death breakdown, as has been the case in recent years.
Many of the new incidents, with the exception of one, is linked to the February 20th incident.
This takes the total number of cases as a result of the incident in February to 22,254.
The other case was brought in from another country. The source of these imported cases has yet to be revealed.
Today's recovery estimate of 1337 was significantly higher than the new case total, reinforcing expectations that Cambodia is heading in the right direction.
This means that 14,343 Cambodians have recovered from COVID.
