By the end of 2021, up to 6 million Cambodians will have been vaccinated against Covid-19

Cambodia Compass report, 31th May - According to Prime Minister Hun Sen's voice message, 4.5 million more doses of COVID-19 vaccination will arrive in Cambodia in June.

"By the end of this year, 5 to 6 million individuals will have been vaccinated," Prime Minister Hun Sen added.

The Prime Minister underlined that Cambodia will have enough vaccines for the citizens; the vaccines would be delivered in stages as the government plans to vaccinate about 10 million Cambodians.

Hun Sen also urged individuals who have not yet been vaccinated to show understanding and tolerance, as well as continuing vigilance and respect to health safety rules, particularly the "3 Dos and 3 Don'ts" measure.

Cambodia plans to vaccine roughly 10 million individuals, or 62% of the total population, against COVID-19, with more than 95% projected to be vaccinated by the first half of 2022.

Over 6 million doses of vaccines have been delivered to the Kingdom, including 1.7 million doses given by China, 4 million doses purchased from China, and 324,000 doses of AstraZeneca/SII (COVISHIELD) via the COVAX Facility. Next month, more dosages are likely to arrive in Cambodia.
