Phnom Penh city will build two overpasses to ease traffic pressure

Compass Cambodia report - Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen approved to build two more flyovers in Phnom Penh, which located in the Century Plaza Traffic light and Kbal Tnorl, according to the Facebook page of the Department of Public Works.

The two flyovers in Phnom Penh will build in the locations as follow:

1. The construction of flyover at the intersection of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen Blvd., Monivong Blvd. and Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Blvd (Street 271).

2. The construction of flyover at the Century Plaza traffic light at the intersection of Russian Federation Boulevard, Street 2004 and Street 2011.

Please note that currently in Phnom Penh, there are 6 flyovers that have been completed and are in use, including: Kbal Thnal flyover (June 24, 2010), 7 Makara flyover (January 6, 2012), Stung Meanchey flyover (July 31, 2014) , 5 Makara flyover (5 January 2016), Cambodia-China Sen Sok Friendship Flyover, also known as "Phsar Dei Huy flyover" (2 July 2018), Chom Chao flyover and subway, inaugurated on March 31. 2022.

Currently, the Royal Government is also in the process of building a flyover along National Road 5, at the intersection of the road connecting the Russey Keo cable-stayed bridge across the Tonle Sap River, which connects National Road 5 and the Chroy Changva satellite city.
