Real estate experts and analysts have expressed optimism about two types of land markets that will be in high demand in 2025.
Po Eav Kong, CEO of Advance Realty Company, said in an interview, “We have seen an increase in land sales and construction of industrial areas along major roads. In addition, we have seen a lot of casino construction in some border areas, such as Bavet City, Poipet, Chrey Thom, and Rolaing Chrey in Prey Veng Province; the Meun Chey border area; and the Dak Dam area in Mondulkiri Province, which has led to an increase in demand for land in those areas.”
“Although there is land buying and selling activity in some areas, the demand for land and the size of the land are still small, which does not cause land prices to increase. The stagnation in buying and selling activity over the past three to four years will not cause the market to rise any higher,” he added.
He also said that some industrial zone investors have turned to suburban areas, which is observed in areas along some national roads, which has also caused some booming activity, but it has not caused the market to recover quickly or increase land prices yet, while most financial institutions continue to tighten their grip on providing financing to this sector.
