Compass Cambodia report, July 15th - The Morodok Techo National Sports Complex will be able to accommodate about 75,000 spectators, placing it third among ASEAN countries in terms of spectator capacity.
The top stadium is Malaysia's Bukit Jalil National Stadium, which can hold 87,411 people, followed by Indonesia's Gelora Bung Karno, which can hold 77,193 people. The fourth and fifth places, respectively, go to Singapore National Stadium and Rajamangala Stadium in Thailand, both of which have seating capacity of 55,000 and 49,722, respectively.
The Morodok Techo National Sports Complex, which was developed with a US$160 million grant from the Chinese government, is nearly finished and will be ready to host the Asia Game in 2023.
China State Construction Engineering Corporation began construction on the stadium in April 2017 on a 94-hectare site in Sangkat Prek Ta Sek, Russey Keo district.
