Compass Cambodia report, August 11- The border ring road, which is in the geographical area of the Preah Vihear provincial administration, especially the red gravel road that connects to the Cambodia-Thailand and Laos border areas, was slightly damaged by the recent floods. This has been repaired and renovated about 90% to facilitate people to travel quickly and safely.
Director of the department of public works and transport of Preah Vihear Province, Sam leangtry, told reporters that several months ago, he sent professional officers to bring all kinds of machinery to the location to be repaired and facilitate the road connected to Cambodia-Thailand-Laos border area to be improved after the floods, the rain eroded and cut off in the past, as of August 10, 2021, the team of the Department of public works and transportation in Preah Vihear province has repaired and improved roads along these border lines by about 90 percent.
He also stated that the badly damaged road that needs to be repaired is National Road No. 94, which is 65 kilometers long, connecting Chheb district to the Cambodia-Laos border area, and National Road No. 95 is a paved road which is the 13-kilometer-long red gravel connects from Chheb district to Chey Sen district, National Road No.62 connects from Phnom Dek village to Svay Damnak village in Romney commune, Rovieng district, and National Road No.92 is a red gravel road which is more than 80 kilometers from Stung Treng and Preah Vihear provinces to the Cambodia-Laos border and continue to Banteay Sramoch in Choam Ksan district of the Cambodian-Thai border by repairing through Kampong Sralao 1 and Kampong Sralao 2 , Chheb district, Preah Vihear province.
He also emphasized that national roads, provincial roads and border ring roads which have been damaged by floods in the past, we have made adjustments such as repairing ditches and cutting plants with automatic machines to facilitate transportation of agricultural products from the countryside to the town and to ensure safe, fast travel, save time for the people in each area, especially the armed forces and the people along the line Cambodia-Thailand and Cambodia-Laos border line in Preah Vihear province.
