Compass Cambodia report - Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC) has urged all Borey owners to keep a close eye on requests from private companies to build cell towers, signal boosters, fiber optic cable networks, and other telecommunication infrastructure in all Borey, as these activities can be harmful to residents if done incorrectly.
This new order was issued after the TRC discovered multiple unlawful cell towers and other communications infrastructures in many Boreys, according to a TRC release on September 30.
TRC went on to say that unauthorized installation of those infrastructures will create radio frequency interference and endanger users.
As a result, before allowing those enterprises to develop anything within the Boreys, all Borey owners must thoroughly study the documentation. Borey owners must also notify TRC if they discover their businesses lack legal authorization.
