Compass Cambodia report - On the evening of November 29, Chhay Sivlin, president of Cambodia Association of Travel Agents, stated that numerous visitors from European countries are likely to visit Cambodia in early 2022.
Since Cambodia has just recently opened its doors and implemented the "vaccine tourism" policy, Chhay Sivlin believed that it will take some time to organize trip packages for international tourists and promote tourism-related issues. Tourists have already booked flights to Cambodia, according to her. The majority of them are European visitors who have booked flights for January and February 2022.
According to Chhay Sivlin, a trip from Europe, if more flights take off, tourism-related enterprises will benefit from the convenience of better understanding aviation linkages. "We'll have to wait a bit," she continued. " Large and small groups of tourists take longer to book trip packages, although backpackers don't require as much time.Tourists usually spend one to two months in Cambodia. As a result, they will make long-term travel arrangements."
On the same day, Ho Vandy, the Secretary-General of the Cambodian Tourism Association, stated that the airline's application for connecting flights is a positive sign, and that the private sector has previously requested that the government give them with some incentives, such as tax breaks.
