Compass Cambodia report - According to statistics from the Japan External Trade Organization, Cambodia exported $1.316B worth of goods to the East Asian nation in the first nine months of 2021, a rise of 8.7% year on year.
In the first three quarters, bilateral commerce between Cambodia and Japan totaled $1.754B, which is up 4.4% over the same period previous year. Cambodia spent $438M on Japanese imports, a 29.1% increase over 2020. As a result, Cambodia now has a $878M trade surplus with Japan.
It should be mentioning that after the United States and the European Union, Japan is Cambodia's third-largest market. Moreover, despite the breakout last year, two-way commerce between the two nations was valued at $2.099 billion in 2020, down 8% from the previous year.
