Ministry of Health issued new conditions for travelers to Cambodia

On the evening of November 16, the Ministry of Health issued a Decision on Adjusting Travel Conditions, Implementing Health Measures and Quarantine in Cambodia for travelers entering Cambodia in line with the New Normal .

The conditions set out in the decision include:

1. Passengers who have  fully vaccinated basic dose of Covid-19 vaccine should be accompanied by a Covid-19 Vaccine Card or Certificate of Completion and Certificate of Covid-19 free with PCR test in the 72 hours before arrival in Cambodia, recognized by the health authorities of the host country or last resort before leaving for Cambodia.

* When you arrive in Cambodia, you need to do antigen Covid-19 (Rapid test) at the entrance to the country and wait for the test results. After receiving a negative Covid-19 test result, the person is not required to quarantine and can travel freely throughout Cambodia.

* If a positive Covid-19 test result is obtained, the patient may receive treatment or referred to a facility authorized by the Ministry of Health.

2. For passengers who have not been vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine or have not been fully vaccinated with Covid-19 basic dose and entering Cambodia, is required to take a rapid test for Covid-19 at the entrance and wait for the results.

* After receiving a negative Covid-19 test result, the individual is required to quarantine for 14 days at a location designated by the Ministry of Health and the competent authority will perform a PCR test on the 13th day of the quarantine.

* If a positive Covid-19 test result is obtained, the patient may receive treatment or referred to a facility authorized by the Ministry of Health. In case of no booking the hotel, patient must prepare $ 2,000 in cash (for foreign travelers) to deposit at the entrance of Cambodia to cover all expenses related to the quarantine during the quarantine time in Cambodia.

3. In case a visa is required to travel to Cambodia, the traveler must apply for a visa valid in accordance with the procedures of the Immigration Law by the Cambodian Embassy or Consulate of Cambodia which The Royal Government of Cambodia has not yet granted a Visa on Arrival. Passengers holding a passport in a country that does not require a visa can travel to Cambodia without a visa.

4. Responsibilities for treatment Covid-19 for foreign travelers:

4.1. Foreign travelers (excluding diplomats and officials implementing the Greater Diplomatic Cooperation Program (Visa A) and Official Visa (Visa B) and Family) are responsible for their own treatment of Covid-19 or have other diseases

4.2. Foreign travelers are encouraged to purchase a Covid-19 health insurance policy, which in Cambodia can be purchased from the insurance consortium, represented by Forte Insurance via https://www.forteinsurance.com/covid-19-insurance/

5. Passengers who have been vaccinated with the full dose of Covid-19 vaccine and quarantine at a catheterization center, hotel, or home  will be allowed to complete the quarantine if a rapid Covid-19 test results are negative.
