Compass Cambodia report - The US$150 million Morodok Techo Stadium was officially handed over to Cambodia and six new agreements with China were signed to provide Cambodia with financial assistance for more than US$270 millions.
Cambodia's Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen and the Minister of State and Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi presided over the two ceremonies on Sunday, 12 September.
Constructed on 16 hectares of land in the form of a US$150 million grant aid from China, the Morodok Techo Stadium was built starting in April 2017. Building was completed at 100% on August 31, 2021 and ready for up to 60,000 audiences in the South East Asian Games of 2023.
