PM Hun Sen advised once again not to allow exclusive internet service companies in Borey

Prime Minister Hun Sen once again advised not to have an exclusive company selling telephone or internet services in Boreys or apartments. This was stated by the PM during the inauguration ceremony of the new location of the Royal University of Fine Arts in Sangkat Prek Leap, Khan Chroy Changva, Phnom Penh on May 24, 2023.

In addition, the PM also requested that all apartment companies and Boreys must cooperate with Internet service providers or mobile phone companies to connect services with their location to make it easier for customers to use the Internet or people who live in that Borey or apartment.

Not only that, PM also called on all mobile phone companies to increase the number of their antennas everywhere so that people living near the location have enough internet service.

In addition, PM ordered the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to inspect an internet service provider called Home Internet, which installs internet services and cities, while internet services are difficult to use, and also called on all All Boreys must follow the instructions of the Ministry.

In connection with this issue, Prime Minister has previously ordered that there will be no more exclusive internet service providers in Borey, otherwise, they will face the revocation of their licenses.
