Sihanouk Ville governor urges companies to invest in Koh Rong to prepare a refinery for dirty water​

On the morning of January 14, 2019, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, Mr. Yun Min led a number of subordinates to visit the condition of development on Koh Rong Island. The main purpose of this visit to Koh Rong is to check the actual situation and progress of the development process of companies on Koh Rong territory after receiving investment rights from the Royal Government.

"The problem of dirty water is a major concern as the momentum of development has taken place in Sihanoukville over the past three years," he said.
To solve this problem, Mr.Yun Min has advised owners, business owners, guesthouses, bungalows and restaurants along the island's beach to keep up with the environment as well, encouraging them to set up a freshwater tanks system. Properly filtering contaminated water before pouring into the sea does not make it a better place.However make coastal beaches on Koh Rong is to attract visitors even more entertainment.

With the support of the national water system, four dumping stations in Sihanoukville have been constructed for pumping into a large 16-hatre refinery to conduct poisoning. Before entering the sea.
       Mr. Yun Min stronger affirm that the short-term future of sewage treatment will be eradicated. the solution at the present day have some been solved . The problem of dirty water is a government concern, with the government recently sending out millions of dollars to build a water treatment chalet in Sihanoukville after an inter-ministerial meeting led by the deputy prime minister Chea Sophara, Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.

Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said that the problem of dirty water was a problem for Preah Sihanouk, as the province had a fast growing population, while infrastructure systems, especially water filtration, were still problematic. The government has been paying attention to this.
