Cambodia tourism market recovery in costal cities

Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Cambodia, the government and the public have been working together against the epidemic. As the epidemic has been brought under control, Cambodia's economy has resuming gradually, and the tourism industry has ushered in a turning point. 

According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Tourism, in July this year, the domestic tourism market in Cambodia recovered strongly with 740,000 domestic tourists. In July, Cambodian domestic tourists visited 723,238 people, a year-on-year increase of 15.35%, and international tourists 16,790 people, a year-on-year increase of 9.99%.

The tourists in Cambodia are increasing, especially coastal cities attracted more and more tourists. In July, Kampot and Kep are the popular destination for tourists, Kampot and Kep welcomed 230,000 tourists. Kandal rankas as third place, 65254 tourists are visited Kandal province. For Siem Reap, 5271 tourists are visited.

Although the tourism industry in Siem Reap has not fully recovered and the number of tourists is increasing, hotels and inns have reopen already. According to Cambodian media, at present, more domestic tourists visit Angkor Wat, usually them are family trips and group trips by bicycle.
