H.E. Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, said on September 2 that major infrastructure projects have been studied and signed are the Phnom Penh-Ho Chi Minh railway project (in cooperation with Vietnam), monorail (in collaboration with a private company), Phnom Penh Metro, Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway, Mekong River Bridge Project, International Airport Project and many more.
In cooperation with the government, the ministry also continues on important national infrastructures, including the construction of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville expressway, the restoration of two existing railways, the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Thailand regarding transportation by Cross-border railways, expansion of container ports in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, the launches of passenger ships so on and so forth.
