Australia is interested in investing in renewable energy in Cambodia such as hydropower and solar power.
The interest was highlighted here yesterday by newly appointed Australian Ambassador to Cambodia, Pablo Chiho Kang, during a meeting with Oknha Kith Meng, president of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.
Oknha Kith Meng welcomed the Australian side’s interest, affirming that he stands ready to cooperate with the Australian companies wishing to invest in Cambodia.
Mr Meng recalled the active contribution of Australia to the peace building and development process of Cambodia. He also expressed his hope that thanks to Mr. Kang’s diplomatic mission, the relations between both countries, in particular their cooperation in the fields of trade and investment and their business ties, will be further strengthened and expanded.
