Cambodia ’s highest-level international airport will be opened by the end of the year

The Dara Sakor International airport is constructed by China Railway Group Limited, which is expected to be opened by the end of this year.

The Dara Sakor airport is located in Kiri Sakor, Koh Kong province of Cambodia. It is the fourth international airport in Cambodia. It is a 4E class (upgrade to 4F class in the future) airport. It can take off and land large long-range wide-body aircraft such as A340, A350, Boeing 777, 787 The route covers a radius of 4000 kilometers, including key cities in Southeast Asia, South Asia and China. After the project is completed, it will become the highest level airport in Cambodia.

The airport mainly serves global tourists in the Dara Sakor Seaside Tourism Resort, and undertake the traffic pressure for Phnom Penh, Sihanoukvile, Siem Reap, and undertakes the rapid growth of international tourists traffic demand.

It is reported that Dara Sakor International Airport has been included in China's the Belt and Road project.
