On January 16, the closing ceremony of the 2020 ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) was held in Brunei. At the closing ceremony, Cambodia won the right to host the ASEAN Tourism Forum in 2021, with the theme "Peace and Sharing" and will be held from January 17 to 23, 2021.

Cambodian Minister of Tourism Thong Khun stated at the event that Cambodia had successfully hosted two ASEAN Tourism Forums in 2003 and 2011 respectively, and is now ready to host the 2021 ASEAN Tourism Forum.

Cambodia will hold ASEM Summit in 2020

ASEM was established in 1996, the Asia-Europe Meeting is an important inter-regional intergovernmental forum between Asia and Europe. On October 19, 2018, the 12th ASEM Summit was held in Brussels, Belgium. At the meeting, the leaders of the Asian and European countries agreed to let Cambodia as the host country hold the 13th ASEM Summit in 2020. This will be the first time that Cambodia has hosted the Asia-Europe Summit as a host country since it became a member country in 2014. Cambodia will host ASEAN Summit in 2022
