According to a statement from Blockchain Singapore, PLMP Fintech has stated that approximately 1 million square meters of land in Kampong Speu has been given the green light by the Cambodian government to create a Smart City area for creating small and medium enterprises as well as to bring entrepreneurs and investor in Cambodia.
This Singaporean company firm is the recipient of a large-scale development project in Kong Pisei, Kampong Speu's Special Economic Zone, following the approval of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and organized the area into an agricultural and industrial cooperation area under the initiative of a One Road One Belt project of Chinese government.
In the total area of industrial and commercial area ,1.5 of the land will be earmarked for PLMP Fintech to be developed into residential areas, including condos, apartments, private homes, as well as shophouse and malls.
Mr. Peter Lim, PLMP Fintech Strategic Development Specialist said “We have cities, people, and businesses that are ideal sites for incorporating blockchain technology to facilitate real estate management and online payment systems.”
Concurrent construction begins, the Singapore company looks to expand Blockchain technology to manage its residential, commercial areas and special economic zone that will help the daily flow of agricultural produce through standard pricing from online trading platforms like PLMP did in Indonesia.
It should be noted that the Smart City project on the outskirts of Phnom Penh is designed to help small and medium enterprises to get benefit more from technology.(This news came from Business-Cambodia.com)
