Cambodia's official currency is KHR, which was introduced in 1980. The U.S. dollar (USD) is one of Cambodia's most commonly used currencies, and 80% of bank deposits and credits are uesd in U.S. dollars.            

Cambodia is the third largest dollar asset country in the world, and the only country in Asia that uses the dollar as the buying and selling currency. Local currency is US dollar, foreign exchange is unregulated, free access, currency stability, investment in US dollar.           

What are the current banking and financial institutions in Cambodia?            

The largest bank in Cambodia is Bank of Canadia. The largest commercial bank in Cambodia is ACLEDA Commercial Bank. There are also many foreign banks such as Royal Bank of Australia, Bank of May, ABA Bank, Bank of China and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.            

According to the annual report of the National Bank of Cambodia (the Central Bank) in 2018, by the end of 2018, the number of commercial banks in the country had increased to 43, 14 professional banks, 7 micro-lending institutions with acceptable deposits, and 73 micro-lending institutions.
