Sen sok District. Located in Northwest Phnom Penh, west of Yothapol Khemarak Phoumin Blvd (271 Road). Originally part of Kandal Province, Sen sok District was merged into the capital in 2009 with an area of 59 square kilometres. In the past decade, the population has grown rapidly, and the area now has more than 160,000 inhabitants. Today, it has gradually become one of the main residential areas in the capital, even known as the "New Phnom Penh".            

On the map, Sen sok District is far from Chamkarmon in Phnom Penh. However, with the introduction of large-scale residential projects and world-class retail projects, the appearance of Sen Sok District has been rapidly changed, and it has become a hot major residential area in Phnom Penh.

Housing situation
Among these projects, the two most well-known are the AEON Sen Sok, planned by Japan, and Makro, a large wholesale chain store in Thailand. With these two large-scale projects as the lead, new roads, hospitals and international schools have settled in Sen-Sok District, where infrastructure and living facilities have been greatly improved. Residents do not need to travel long distances to other areas of Phnom Penh to get the daily necessities they want locally.
Accordingly, the residential function of Sensok District has also been strengthened. According to statistics, in 2019, Phnom Penh has the largest number of residential investment projects in the area of Sen sok District, a total of 45 projects, the second is the suburbs of Russey Keo, 31 projects.
Many people are even willing to sell their real estate in Phnom Penh to buy housing in Sen Sok District for various reasons:
Firstly, it has convenient transportation, is close to Phnom Penh International Airport, and has the newly renovated spacious roads.
Secondly, there are no factories polluting the air and rivers around Sensok District, and the environment is very suitable for living.
Finally, the price is very attractive. As of early 2019, the average quotation for residential plots in Sensok District ranged from $300 to $1500 per square metre. During the same period, the average quotation for residential plots in Daun Penh District was US$5000 per square metre, for residential plots in Chamkarmon District was US$4000 per square metre, for residential plots in 7 Makara District was US$3300 per square metre and for residential plots in  Toul Kork District was US$3000 per square metre.
Most of the property prices in the Sen Sok range from $1500 to $2500 per square metre.
