Introduction

Malaysia has a land area of 330,345 square kilometers (2016) and is located in Southeast Asia. The land is divided into the east and west parts by the South China Sea. West Malaysia is located in the south of the Malay Peninsula, bordering Thailand in the north, Singapore across the Johor Strait in the south, the South China Sea in the east, and the Strait of Malacca in the west. East Malaysia is located in the northern part of Kalimantan, adjacent to Indonesia, the Philippines and Brunei. The national coastline has a total length of 4,192 kilometers and is one of Southeast Asian countries.

Malaysia is located near the equator. It has a tropical rainforest climate and a tropical monsoon climate. There is no obvious four seasons. The annual temperature difference is very small. The average temperature is between 26 ℃ and 30 ℃. February is the rainy season. The average annual temperature in the inland mountainous area is 22 ℃ ~ 28 ℃, and the coastal plain is 25 ℃ ~ 30 ℃.

Ethnic distribution

Statistics from Statistics Malaysia in 2018 show that the total population is 32.385 million. In terms of ethnic groups, the total number of indigenous people (Malays and Aboriginals) was 2007.19 million (61.98%), Malaysian Chinese were 6.6855 million (20.64%), Malaysian Indians were 2.0104 million (6.24%), and the other population was 294,500 (0.90 %), Non-nationals 3.232 million (10.26%).

According to the constitutional definition, Malays are Muslims who practice Malay customs (customary law) and culture. They have political dominance. Indigenous status is also granted to certain non-Malay aborigines, including Thais, Khmers, Chams and Aborigines from Sabah and Sarawak. Non-Malay indigenous people make up more than half of the population in Sarawak and more than 2/3 in Sabah. There are also a small number of aboriginal groups on the peninsula, collectively known as Orang Asli. The state laws and regulations regarding who can obtain indigenous status vary.

Malaysia is a nation founded by agriculture, so it maintains many primitive beliefs, especially the strong religious flavor of various ethnic groups. Its religion blends Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism, with Hinduism being particularly far-reaching. Due to the long-term common life of multiple nationalities, a diverse cultural characteristic has formed.

Famous scenic spot

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia ’s capital, the world ’s first twin towers highlight the city ’s ambition and vitality. The west, north and east are surrounded by hills and mountains, and the Klang River passes through the city.

Malacca: It is the oldest ancient city in Malaysia. It is located on the northern bank of the Strait of Malacca. Zheng He docked here six times in his journey to west, and is now the throat of the lifeline of the Malacca Strait.

Sabah: It has amazing natural ecology. In addition to the continuous coastline and white sandy beaches, you can also enjoy the colorful corals, marine life, and primitive forests.

Penang: Known as a food paradise.

Redang Island: It has been listed as a marine park protection area by the Malaysian government. It prohibits anyone from fishing and taking underwater coral and shellfish in the 23 nautical mile waters. Genting Highlands: It is a newly developed tourist and summer resort in Malaysia. It is located on the eastern slope of the middle section of the Jibao Mountains in southwest Pahang and about 50 kilometers northeast of Kuala Lumpur. With an area of about 4,900 hectares, it is the largest highland summer resort in Southeast Asia.

Pulau Langkawi : It is the largest of 104 large and small islands off the coast of Kedah, Malaysia. Pulau Langkawi  is about 112 kilometers north of Penang and administratively belongs to the state of Kedah, Malaysia, geographically close to Thailand.

Transportation

Expressway

Malaysia's highway network is relatively developed, and major urban centers, ports and important industrial areas all have highway connections and communication. The highway is divided into two parts: government construction and private development, but the design, construction, and management are unified by the National Highway Administration. The longest highway is North-South Expressway, with a total length of 800 kilometers, between the Thai border and Singapore.

The railway system is state-owned and distributed on the peninsula (east coastline, west coastline) and Sabah (Sabah State Railway). As of 2003, the total length of the railway is 2,267 kilometers. The peninsula railway runs through the Malay peninsula and has links to Bangkok and Singapore. In 2010, the country announced the construction of Longxin High Speed Rail, which greatly reduced the time between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to 90 minutes.

Waterway

Malaysia's domestic river transportation is underdeveloped, and more than 80% of sea transportation depends on foreign shipping. There are 19 ports in total.

Airway

Malaysian civil aviation companies mainly include Malaysia Airlines (Malaysia Airlines) and Asian Airlines (AirAsia). There are 118 airports in total, of which 38 have hard-surfaced runways. There are 8 international airports in total.

Education

Malaysia ’s educational advantages, good education environment, high education level, good language environment, good admission methods, flexible short schooling system, easy transfer to third countries, simple course design, reaching international standards, sound development prospects, sound education supervision mechanism, loose education visa policy and high visa rate.

Primary school: Six-year system, divided into a national primary school using Malay as the medium of instruction and a national primary school using Chinese or Tamil as the main medium.

Middle School: The National Government Middle School is the National Middle School. The medium of instruction is Malay and it is a five-year system. Students apply for the PMR assessment test in the middle school for the third year of the middle school, and begin to divide the management, business, and liberal arts in the fourth year, and for the SPM exam for the high school in the fifth year. Those with an SPM diploma need to pass a preparatory course in a middle school or a pre-university course before entering a university.

Universities: divided into public (including public universities, public colleges and technical vocational colleges) and private (including private universities, private university colleges, private colleges and foreign university branches). Public universities and some colleges, private universities and colleges have the qualification to issue college diploma or above. The junior college degree is 2-3 years, the undergraduate degree period is 3 years, the master degree length of schooling is 1-2 years, and the doctor degree length of schooling is 2-6 years.

Property Investment

The CB Richard Ellis report shows that Malaysia's rental return ranks sixth globally and house prices rank 99th globally.
