Precautions
1, The local landlord mostly use English or Khmer language, Suppose your English is not good, you'd better to ask an interpreter for help, or find the some language intermediary to help find housing for you;
2, If you find housing by the housing agency, you'd better confirm the service fee. Generally housing agencies charge a service fee from the landlord, not from the person who looking for housing. However, sometimes a small number of agents will charge both sides, so you may confirm service fee in advance;
3, The rental is generally can not bargained, you'd better do not hope for great discount.
4, More information you may asked as detail as possible, except the rental. Like do you need to pay for the Wifi and cable TV fees ? Something like that. Some unnecessary expenses can be excluded. For example, if you don't watch TV at all, you can ask landlord remove the TV and save 5 dollars for yourself.
5, Do not rush to decide, more housing, more choice.  
6, The most important thing is choose a safe residence, or you may worry every day.
7, The landlord is very important, if possible, choose a kind landlord.
