According to the latest report of the Ministry of Commerce, in the first nine months of this year, the trade volume between Cambodia and ASEAN countries reached US$11.728 billion, an increase of 13 percent year-on-year.
The trade volume between Cambodia and ASEAN countries accounted for 28.3% of the total trade volume in the same period.
According to the report, Cambodia's exports to ASEAN countries amounted to US$3.812 billion, up 13% year-on-year; imports from ASEAN countries amounted to US$7.915 billion, up 12.96% year on year.
Among ASEAN countries, Vietnam remained Cambodia's largest trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching US$5.825 billion, increasing 22 percent. Thailand ranked second, with bilateral trade worth US$3.17 billion, followed by Singapore (US$997 million), Indonesia (US$802 million), and Malaysia (US$659 million).
Cambodia mainly exports goods such as agricultural products, clothing, footwear, luggage, electronics, and bicycles to ASEAN countries, while major imports include food, beverages, electrical and electronic equipment, construction materials, agricultural machinery, and vehicles.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce, in the first nine months of this year, Cambodia's international trade volume reached US$41.441 billion, an increase of 15.54 percent. Exports amounted to US$20.72 billion, up 14.63 percent; imports amounted to US$21.269 billion, up 16.41 percent.
