Compass Cambodia report - The Phnom Penh Municipal Public Works and Transportation Bureau announced on the 30th that, so far, 92% of the overall project of the Chom Chao Flyover and underground passage has been completed, and it is expected to be completed in March 2022.
In order to alleviate the traffic congestion problem in the above-mentioned areas, the underground passage project was put into use first on October 26 after its completion.
It is understood that the Chom Chao Flyover and underground passage project held a groundbreaking ceremony on June 29, 2018. The project was undertaken by Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC), and the project cost 22 million US dollars.
Chom Chao Flyover and underground passage projects include the main bridge connecting Russia Avenue to Highway 3; a ring bridge turning from the main bridge to the left, connecting Russia Avenue to Veng Sreng Road; a curved bridge turning to the left, connecting Veng Sreng Road to Highway 3; the underground passage connecting Highway 4 to Russia Avenue; the asphalt road connecting Veng Sreng Road to Highway 4.
