Arrivals of foreign visitors rise 394 pct in the H1 of 2022

In the first half of this year, there were 506,762 more foreign visitors to Cambodia than there were in the entire first half of 2017.

The most recent report from the Ministry of Tourism included the update, which highlighted a promising development for the revival of Cambodian tourism.

As a result, visitors from Vietnam, Thailand, China, the United States of America, Indonesia, France, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and Australia visited Cambodia during that time.

Rapid testing upon arrival at the airport and the requirement for a Covid-19 PCR negative test within 72 hours of departure from Cambodia have been removed.

Arrivals who have received all recommended vaccinations are exempt from quarantine, while those who have not received all recommended vaccinations must stay in a seven-day quarantine at the place specified by the Ministry of Health or other appropriate authorities.

In 2022, Cambodia has projected that it would welcome 700,000 foreign travelers.

In the meantime, there were 181,246 outgoing travelers from Cambodia, an increase of more than 1,600% from the same time in 2021.
