On the sidelines of the 6th "High-Level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Economic Relations" in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, recently, H.E Sok Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary-General of the CDC encouraged investors in ASEAN countries. In particular, investors from Italy and other countries explore more about Cambodia's potential and investment opportunities in deciding to invest in Cambodia to take advantage of the many agreements that Cambodia has signed, especially the  Regional Free Trade Agreement (RCEP), which came into force in early 2022.

In a meeting with the Malaysian Retail Supply Association and the Malaysian Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation, H.E Sok Chenda Sophea stated that the Council for the Development of Cambodia, as an investment promotion institution, is ready to provide maintenance and facilitation services to Malaysian investors. And investors of all nationalities, and the new investment law, which came into force at the end of 2021, is also a solid legal framework that provides many incentives for investment in Cambodia.
