The feasibility study on the construction of the Eastern part of the Ring Road 3 project, which has a total length of nearly 34.15km, has been completed. The project is projected to cost approximately US$240 million, including the construction of 3 bridges across the Mekong River.

This eastern part project has been studied by Shanghai Construction Group Co., Ltd which is the one operating the current Ring Road 3 project on March 10, 2023, the company presented to H.E. Lim Sidenin, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and technical experts of the Ministry to review and provide additional input on this new project.

The eastern part of the project, which is 34.15 km long and projected to cost US$240 million, will be built as a four-lane road, connecting from Win-win Boulevard at National Road 6 Intersection to the intersection of Road 70B, by passing through 2 islands: Koh Dach and Koh Tang.

Additionally, there will be three bridges to be built across the Mekong River: the first bridge is 1 311 meters long, connecting NR6 to Koh Dach, the second one is 579 meters long, connecting Koh Dach to Koh Tang) and the third one is 1044 meters long, connecting Koh Tang to Road 70B.

After the presentation, the Ministry's technical experts provided input on the main construction technical work, including the parking lot, the geography of the area, as well as the water flow, and the dam to make this project more efficient and sustainable.

It is noteworthy that as of February, the first phase of the Ring Road 3 construction project, which connects National Road No. 4 to National Road No. 1, is reported to have reached a completion rate of almost 90%.
