The Angkor Archaeological Park welcomed 236 341 foreign visitors in only in first 3 months of 2023, earning over US$11.13 million from ticket sales, the state-owned Angkor Enterprise said in a news release on April 1, 2023.
According to Angkor Enterprise, the total US$11M revenue represents an approximate 1 265 percent growth compared to the same period last year.
The park earns a total of US$348 700 for the entire month of March 2023, which rises over 1 010 percent from Q1 2022, from a total of 78 390 foreign visitors.
The fee for a single-day entrance pass costs US$37, a three-day pass is US$62, and US$72 for seven-day passes, the report said.
It is noteworthy that to encourage more visitors to the temple, the Government of Cambodia issued a special promotion for foreigners who have lived in Cambodia for more than two years could visit the temples free of charge.
