Cambodia maintained its overall lead in the medal tally in the on-going 23rd SEA Games 2023.
As of May 8, Cambodia maintained its lead, established since the start of medal competitions on May 4 with a total of 100 medals, comprising 37 golds, 31 silver and 32 bronze.
Cambodia’s latest gold medals were one in Vovinam, two in Kun Bokator, and one in Billiard Carom – at the 32nd SEA Games being hosted by Cambodia from May 5 to 17.
The 37 gold medals include 8 in Vovinam, 8 in Kun Bokator, 4 in Chinlone, 3 in Jiu-Jitsu, 2 in Kun Khmer, 2 in Soft Tennis, 2 in E-Sports, 1 in Ouk Chaktrang (Chess), 2 in Triathlon, 1 in Basketball, 1 in Cricket, 1 in Karate, 1 in Pencak Silat, and 1 Billiard.
More than 20 types of sports were competed in yesterday, including Triathlon, Cricket, Golf, Kun Bokator, Chess, Petanque, Vovinam, Athletics, Swimming, Mountain Bike Eliminator (MTB), Badminton, E-sports, Karate, Sepak Takraw (Chinlone) , Soft Tennis, Tennis, Pancak Silat, Gymnastics (Artistic), Billiard, Seiling, Indoor Volleyball, Boxing, Kun Khmer, Kun Khmer and Football.
