The royal government of Cambodia has designated 10 hectares of the revered Boeung Ta Mok (Boeung Kob Srov) to the Royal Group, represented by Neak Oknha Kith Meng. This monumental decision is encapsulated in Sub-Decree No. 105, dated May 29, 2023.

The allocated land, measuring 10 hectares, is situated in Sangkat Ponsang, Khan Preaek Pnov, Phnom Penh. This transformation, detailed in Sub-Decree No. 20, dated February 3, 2016, redefines Boeung Ta Mok’s status. Initially spanning 3,239.7 hectares, it was classified as state-owned public property. With this shift, 10 hectares now transition into the private property of the state.

Crucially, this allocation to the Royal Group, led by Neak Oknha Kith Meng, comes with state-bearing taxes and duties borne by the state.

Boeung Ta Mok has witnessed various transformations in recent years, reflecting Cambodia’s commitment to land development. Earlier this year, on January 4, the government allocated more than 13 hectares to Mr. Lahn Phea, marking another strategic allocation.

In February 2022, over 6.1 hectares were converted from state public property to state private property, entrusted to Seng Youan.

In a significant step in October 2021, the government reclassified 140 hectares of Boeung Ta Mok, shifting it from state public property to state private property. Portions of this land were assigned to the Ministry of Justice, and a 4-hectare plot was earmarked for the Ministry of Public Works, intended for the construction of a new ministry building.

Further back in 2020, the government initiated a series of allocations for Boeung Ta Mok, translating into at least nine reconfigurations, or approximately 682 hectares, transitioning to private ownership or state institutions.
