National Road No. 10 Construction Progress Achieved More Than 77%

The construction progress of National Road No. 10, which is nearly 200 kilometers long and passes through Koh Kong, Pursat, and Battambang provinces, is more than 77 percent complete. This was confirmed by H.E. Phorn Rim, Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, on February 17, 2024.

Posting on his official Facebook page, he stated, "It is an invaluable pride of the construction of National Road No. 10 (Koh Kong, Pursat, Battambang) with a total length of 198,518 kilometers, achieving 77.81% of the project, while the bridge is 530 meters at kilometer 128+905 and achieved 39.00%."

His Excellency continued, "The construction project of National Road No. 10 has started to apply rubber asphalt roads from Koh Kong province to the Pramoy roundabout, Veal Veng district, Pursat province."

Please be informed that the construction project of National Road No. 10 started on December 18, 2019 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2025. The new road is a Grande III, Double Bituminous Surface Treatment (DBST) with a total length of 198.51 kilometers and a width of 9 meters. There is also one of the tallest bridges, which is 75 meters high, 530 meters long, and 10 meters wide.

The total budget for the construction of this road is more than $188 million, financed by the Government of the People's Republic of China, together with the contribution of the Royal Government of Cambodia for dealing with the impact of clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance. The road was built by the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), and construction techniques were checked by Guangzhou Wanan Construction Supervision Co., Ltd.
