Another new tourist port under construction in Koh Tonsay, Kep province, has completed 50% of its construction.
This was confirmed by Vao Sokha, Deputy Governor of Kep Province, when he and the team of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) inspected the progress of the above project recently.
According to the Deputy Governor, so far, Koh Tonsay Tourism Port has completed 50% of the construction progress of the port, including 70% of the concrete walkway, 2 wells, and water storage facilities for distribution on the island reach 40%. The project also equipped 3 generators for power distribution, which achieved 95% completion.
He added that the port construction project is to expand the tourism and economic potential of Kep province through bilateral waterways with countries in the region, and this tourist port will certainly help attract more tourists to the islands in Kep.
It should be noted that the project to build a port on Koh Tonsay is expected to cost more than $1.6 million under a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
