The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Hun Manet, presides over the Plenary Session of the Council of Ministers on March 15, 2024.

According to a press release from the Council of Ministers, the meeting also discussed and passed the agenda《 The Draft 3-Year Rolling Public Investment Programme 2023-2025》. This program is a policy tool for the implementation of the National Strategic Development Plan 2024-2028 by proposing public investment projects that can meet the priorities set out in the Pentagon Strategy-Phase 1, and the National Strategic Development Plan 2024-2028.

This investment program is coordinated and led by the Ministry of Planning, with elements from all ministries and institutions.

The investment program has a total of 617 projects, of which 173 are in progress and 444 are for the implementation of the National Strategic Development Plan. Of the 617 projects, 173 projects require $4,678 million, and other 444 projects are for the implementation of the National Strategic Development Plan with $7,014 million.

It should be informed that in 2024, Cambodia's economy is expected to grow at a rate of 6.4%.

Compared to the《3-Year Rolling Public Investment Programme 2023-2025》, the public investment projects decreased by 46 projects, but the total investment increased by $2,571 million, or 28%.

Among the public investment projects from 2023 to 2025, the infrastructure sector accounted for 37.4%, the economic sector for 43.6%, the service sector for 5.6%, and the social sector for 13.4%.
