Kampot International Port is scheduled to be officially inaugurated in the second quarter of 2024.
Recently, H.E. Peng Ponea, Minister of Public Works and Transport, received a delegation from KAMPOT PORT Co., Ltd. led by Neak Oknha Dr. Vinh Hour, Governor of the company, to pay a courtesy call and discuss work with the participation of His Excellency, the senior officials of the Ministry, and some other relevant officials.
The meeting discussed and exchanged views on the Kampot International Port Operation Project of KAMPOT PORT Co., Ltd., which is scheduled to be officially inaugurated in the second quarter of 2024.
On that occasion, the Neak Oknha of the Board of Governors respectfully requested the recommendations and supported the management of the Ministry to ensure that the port operation plan can run smoothly in accordance with the set procedures and legal standards.
It should be noted that Kampot International Port, located in Boeng Tuk and Koh Touch communes, Tuek Chhou district, Kampot province, is a port with a 14-meter water depth for transporting goods by large ships. Neak Oknha Vinh Hour has signed a construction contract with the Chinese company CRCC Harbor & Channel Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and opened the pumping station to rehabilitate the port on September 6, 2018.
