The tourism port on Koh Tonsay is under construction according to plan and deadline. So far, the whole project is about 90% completed.
This is according to the inspection of the project progress by H.E. Dr. Som Piseth, Governor of Kep Province, and the relevant working group on March 19, 2024.
He said that the new historical achievements of Kep province have helped to promote the tourism sector of the province, especially for the tourism development poles of these archipelagos in the "Kep Tourism Master Plan 2023-2035" to change Kep Province as a destination for eco-tourism and high-class luxury resorts.
It should be reminded that the project to build a tourism port on Koh Tonsay has been funded by about $1.6 million, supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Through this project, Koh Tonsay will become an important modern tourism destination.
At the same time, Kep Governor said that under the wise leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, he laid down the principles as well as indications and urged the authorities in the capitals and provinces to improve the aesthetics, create special recreation areas, and develop and improve various tourist sites in their geographies to make them more attractive to tourists.
