After nearly two years of construction, the first phase of the two-story Morodok Techo flyover has finally been scheduled to open.
According to the announcement of Phnom Penh Capital Hall dated March 28, 2024, the second phase of the Morodok Techo Flyover, the first phase, which connects the traffic between Samdech Techo Hun Sen Blvd. and Monivong Blvd., is almost complete with only a small amount of work left and is scheduled to be completed on March 30, 2024.
Therefore, to facilitate the traffic and travel of people on the occasion of the upcoming Khmer New Year, as well as to solve traffic congestion to a certain extent at the intersection of both boulevards, the Prime Ministers have given the principle to allow the Phnom Penh Capital Hall to temporarily use the second floor of the Morodok Techo flyover, the first phase, from April 1, 2024 onwards.
Please be informed that this project is located at the intersection of Samdech Techo Hun Sen Blvd., Monivong Blvd., and Street 271 in Meanchey and Chamkarmon districts, Phnom Penh. The construction site was opened on August 31, 2022, under the presidency of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, with the Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC) as the construction contractor. The flyover was also officially connected on January 29, 2024.
