A Chinese firm confirms the completion of the study of two national roads in Cambodia

China Communication Construction Corporation (CCCC), the parent company of China Road and Bridge Corporation, has completed the study of two road projects in Cambodia and is waiting for funding.

This was confirmed by Mr. Chen Zhong, Vice Chairman of CCCC, in a meeting with Samdech Techo Hun Sen on the occasion of attending the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2024 in Boao City, Hainan Province, China.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the CCCC informed Samdech Techo that his company has already studied National Road No. 50C connecting Kampong Thom to Kampong Chhnang and the section of National Road No. 3 from Kampot to Veal Renh about 20 kilometers, that this road is broken with bad quality, and his company has completed the study.

In this regard, the vice chairman of the CCCC requested that Samdech Techo Hun Sen encourage the Chinese government to drop the budget for the company to build because his company has helped maintain the road for two years.

Please be informed that CCCC, the parent company of China Road and Bridge Corporation, has studied the construction of many projects in Cambodia, such as the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway Project, the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway Project, the Phnom Penh-Siem Reap-Poipet Expressway Project, and the study of the Funan Techo Canal Project as well.

During the meeting, Mr. Chen Zhong also informed Samdech Techo about the progress of the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway and the Phnom Penh-Siem Reap-Poipet Expressway.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that the Funan Techo Canal project is also an important waterway project for Cambodia.

Mr. Chen Zhong informed Samdech Techo Hun Sen that he understood the importance of this historical project and that he would work hard for the Funan Techo Canal Project to come into being in accordance with the recommendations of Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet.
