H.E. So Vector confirmed that the project to upgrade the quality of National Road No. 48, which starts from the intersection of National Road No. 4 to Khemarak Phoumin City, Koh Kong Province, has a total length of 148 kilometers. Construction activities are currently bustling as crews diligently work on AC ironing, with a particular emphasis on completing the Base Course work. Structural work is slated to be finished by the upcoming dry season in 2025.

Along with the progress of the project, there are also some delays due to the COVID-19 matter and geographical factors. During the rainy season, the area receives heavy rains for six months a year, so the duration of the work is only six months.
