The two-storey “Morodok Techo” flyover, which is located at the intersection of Preah Monivong Blvd., Samdech Techo Hun Sen Blvd., and Yothapol Khemarak Phoumin Blvd. (St. 271), will be completed four months ahead of schedule.
According to His Excellency Koeut Chhe, Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh, on October 27, 2024, the “Morodok Techo” flyover intersects Monivong Blvd., Samdech Techo Hun Sen Blvd., and Yothapol Khemarak Phoumin Blvd. (St. 271) in Meanchey district and Chamkarmon district, Phnom Penh. The second phase is under construction and is scheduled to be completed about 4 months before the plan; that is, the second phase will be completed before Khmer New Year 2025 (the project is set to be completed in August 2025).
It should be noted that on April 1, 2024, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister, made the highest decision for the Phnom Penh Capital Administration to temporarily use the second phase of the Morodok Techo flyover first phase to facilitate people's traveling and solve traffic congestion to a better level.
Please be reminded that the construction site of the Morodok Techo flyover was opened on August 31, 2022. The construction of the new flyover is a project of the Royal Government of Cambodia through the Phnom Penh Capital Administration and was built by the Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC) with a budget of approximately US$36 million.
