Bridge No. 28 of the National Road No. 10 Construction Project, which is the tallest bridge in Cambodia, with a height of 90 meters and a total length of 537 meters, has completed 79% of construction progress, which means that this bridge will be put into trail use at the end of March 2025, that is, before the traditional Khmer New Year day.
According to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on November 2, 2024, this tallest bridge is at the center of the bridge at km no. 128+905 and across Stung Russei Chrum with a 90-degree intersection. The upper part consists of "T" type beams, the east side has 4 shields, the middle part is a cable box beam with 3 shields, and the west side has "T" type beams with 5 shields.
The lower part of the structure consists of bridge supports and beams (for supporting “T” type beams) using vertical round pillars and drilling foundations, as well as wide beams using vertical wall pillars and drilling foundations.
It should also be informed that the bridge project No. 28 started construction in February 2023 and took 28 months to build. While the bridge structure is designed according to the Chinese level 3 highway with a design load of 55 tons.
