In October 2024, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved 30 new projects and one expansion project with a total investment of US$226 million and offering 16,000 job places.
Of the total investment projects, 21 are located outside the special economic zone (SEZ) and 10 are located in special economic zones.
The 31 investment projects include 1 infrastructure investment project, a garment factory project, shoes and bags, a project to build a factory for home appliances, camping equipment, furniture, decorations, and other projects.
It should be noted that in October 2024, investment from China ranked first, accounting for 53.39% of total investment, while domestic investment accounted for 29.47%, followed by Singapore at 12.13%, Samoa Island at 2.7%, and Vietnam at 2.32%.
