A group of Chinese investors have expressed their interest in investing in agro-industrial park for agricultural product processing.
The information was made known by Zhan David, Vice President and CEO of Cambodia Air Co., Ltd., in a meeting to Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and the First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), at the CDC’s headquarters in Phnom Penh last week.
The purpose of the meeting was to seek support from the CDC on the agro-industrial park project of the People’s Government of Henan Province, under the coordination of the Air Cambodia, Zhan David said.
The agro-industrial park is expected to be invested into a trading zone for agricultural products, agricultural product processing, agricultural technology service provision, and a storage for agricultural products by attracting various companies with business interests related to the agricultural sector.
It should be mentioned that, Air Cambodia, renamed from Cambodia Angkor Air, currently serves domestic flight routes and international flight service in the region, mainly between Cambodia to China.
According to the airline CEO, the company plans to launch direct flights from Phnom Penh to two major cities in Japan, namely Tokyo and Osaka.
