Cambodia Compass report, 27th May - The operator of the Long Bay Resort in Koh Kong province, Zheng Heng Group, has stated that it will continue to invest in the resort in order to take this massive tourism complex to new heights. During a meeting with Koh Kong Governor HE Mithona Phouthorng, the business announced the concept.
Deng Pibing, Chairman of Zhengheng (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., said the Long Bay project spans a 2 million square meter area that may be developed into a variety of tourist attractions. Deng stated, "Following the long-term investment plan, the Long Bay project will soon become one of the most luxurious hotel complexes, as well as a center for leisure, health care, and entertainment."
HE Mithona Phuthong, the Governor of Koh Kong, responded by expressing her full support for the company's investment plan. She went on to say that this project is a big accomplishment in the province's tourism sector, since it has created hundreds of jobs for locals and has significantly improved the attractiveness of Koh Kong.
According to the corporation, the Long Bay project has so far employed over 800 local workers, with hundreds more expected in the next two years. The Long Bay project is housed in the renowned Dara Sakor complex, a multibillion-dollar vacation destination constructed by the Chinese company UDG.
