The Cambodian Constructors Association has adopted an online approach to promote connectivity among its members

Compass Cambodia report, June 29th - Despite the pandemic, the Cambodia Constructors Association (CCA) continues to use the internet to promote economic operations, knowledge, and connectedness among its members and non-members.

Mr. Chhiv Sivpheng, General Manager of the CCA Secretariat, stated the organization was operating, at least on the internet platform, even during and after the lockdowns.

“We've hosted a number of webinars to educate members and non-members on construction legislation and related laws. We've also sponsored a number of online business network events where members, both domestic and foreign, may show off their wares and network,” says the company.

“In addition, we have been quite engaged on social media as a result of our understanding of our members' economic downturn. We mostly assist members in producing promotional films and uploading them to web platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Telegram, and others,” he explained.

The CCA has also continued to participate in international meetings with international partners such as the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors' Associations (IFAWPC), the ASEAN Constructors Federation (ACF), and the Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM), among others, according to Mr Sivpheng.

He went on to say that meeting with these partners gives not only a forum for all members to talk and grow their business networks, but also a chance for Cambodia to demonstrate its international potential. Indirectly, this will aid economic growth in general and the building industry in particular.

The Cambodian Construction Association (CCA) is the country's first and largest construction association, representing around 200 construction-related businesses. Since its inception in 2011, CCA has served as a privately-run organization dedicated to promoting Cambodia's construction sector.
