The road model of the Cambodian third expressway connecting Phnom Penh and Siem Reap province is being shown passing through a total of 5 main cities and provinces, while the feasibility study will be ended in May.
According to the words of HE Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Public Works and Transport, confirmed on April 28, 2023.
HE Sun confirmed that the Phnom Penh-Siem Reap Expressway project is being studied and is scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
There is another meeting on April 25, 2023, between the construction company and HE Heng Vanny, Deputy Governor of Kampong Cham Province on the provision of technical information for the Phnom Penh-Siem Reap Expressway Project, presented the study plan for this road construction project as well.
According to the feasibility study road model, the expressway is going to connect Phnom Penh -Siem Reap by crossing 5 Cities and provinces such as Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kompong Cham, Kompong Thom, Siem Reap, and the total length approx. 272km.
Noting that Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol has recently asked for cooperation requesting a fast-track on a feasibility study of a new expressway connecting Phnom Penh to Siem Reap from these provincial governors.
Phnom Penh -Siem Reap Expressway is the third expressway in the country while the second expressway, Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway, is set to break ground on June 7, 2023.
