The construction of a bridge connecting Koh Pich satellite city in Phnom Penh to the Koh Norea development area in the capital’s Khan Chbar Ampov has been achieved at 85 percent and is expected to complete in November this year.
The update was shared by the Phnom Penh Municipal Department of Public Works and Transport on Monday.
The construction project was broken ground on Oct. 26, 2020 at an estimated cost of $38 million.
Once built, the 824-metre-long-and-24.5-metre-wide cable-stayed bridge will contribute significantly to reducing traffic congestion on National Road No. 1, especially at the two Preah Monivong Bridges.
