Four European foreign ministers are invited by China to attend diplomatically

[Compass Real Estate Platform - May 29] BEIJING: On Saturday (May 29), Chinese Foreign Ministers of Ireland, Poland, Hungary and Serbia are going to visit China in a sign of a strengthening of relations with Europe following the freezing of the Investment Treaty.

This month, the European Parliament stopped the ratification of the investment pact with China until Peking lifted sanctions against European politicians, intensified the dispute over Sino-EU relations and denied EU companies greater access to China.

The sanctions in Beijing responded to Western sanctions against Chinese officials, accused of mass detención in northwestern China of Muslim Uyghurs.

On the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, Minister-Speaker Zhao Lijian, the four ministries are visiting China on Friday, from 29 May until 31 May at a regular news conference held in Peking.

Wang is to meet the four ministers separately during the visit and discuss bilateral relations with China and Europe, Zhao said. China hopes that the visit could contribute to deepening cooperation and "foster economic recovery after an epidemic," he says.

EU members of the "17+1" group of central and eastern European countries, Poland and Hungary, as well as Serbia that isn't part of the bloc. When Lithuania pulled out, the group lost a member recently.

In May of last year, the parliament of Lithuania described China as a genocide against its Uyghur minority and also said that the nation was to open a Trade Representative's Office in Taiwan this year which considers China to be its own territory and caused wrath in Beijing.

Not one of the Chinese invited ministers came from countries whose parliaments label Beijing strongly rejects the treatment of the Uyghurs as genocide.

Also, Serbian and Hungarian China-made vaccines against COVID-19 are both approved and administered.
