According to CBRE Cambodia's research report, prices and rental rates in the retail market have declined as supply has increased.
As for supply space in the retail market, up to 613,000+ square meters have been completed and put into operation, while 242,000+ square meters are also pushing for construction to be completed soon.
In terms of occupant rate, the report stated that the Prime Shopping Mall decreased by 11%, Community Mall decreased by 27%, Shopping Center decreased by 17% and Prime Retail Podium increased by 3%.
For rent prices in the Q4 of 2022, the Prime Shopping Mall will cost about $ 25-27, the Prime Retail Podium and the Community Mall will cost about $17-22, and the Prime High Street rents for about $20-25.
We see a number of major supermarkets opening in 2022, including Chip Mong 598 Mall, Chip Mong Mega Mall 271, and Aeon Mall 60 meter Street Mall. During the same period, there were also announcements to open more branches of both national and international retail companies, including H&M, Nine West, OVS, GNC Live Well. In addition, many companies are planning to expand their branches.
